^ The Greatest Forum Game. Since that has finished, I have decided to remake it, the second greatest forum game.

The goal is for the members to get to

Once they have "won" they will achieve a point, and these points will continuously be tallied until this post is locked.

Any time a staff comments the score gets reset to 0. So if the members were at 4, a staff member could say 0 and their score gets reset and in turn, the players will have to start over. This also applies for staff, as staff are counting backwards in the negatives, a player can reset them by simply replying with a 0. To illustrate this rule:

Another mechanic that I am adding to this version which was not present in the original is that once a player has officially "won" (reached 5 if they are a member, or have reached -5 if they are staff) they have 2 possible pathways:

a) Stop and pm to update their score

b) Continue to increment their score

If pathway 'a' is taken everything will remain normal and the tally will be updated, however, if pathway 'b' is taken a "multiplier" will be added. This means that every additional 5 increments will result in additional points - but if this is reset, the opposing side will receive additional points.

The multiplier for pathway b will function as follows:

For example, if members reach 10 and decide to "finalise" their points, they will receive 3 points: 1 from reaching 5 and an additional 2 from reaching 10. If they then continue even further and reach 15 they will have a total of 6 points, the points from reaching 10 and an additional 3 points from reaching 15.

Formula for above (after passing 5/-5)

Let x = totalscore divided by 5:

BUT, if that is reset, all the points are lost and the opposing players receive points based on how many 5 increments they have done (rounded upwards).

To explain that:

If members have reached 14 and staff reset them, the members will not receive any points and staff will receive 3 points. To highlight the "rounded upwards" reference, if the members have reached 11 and are reset, the staff will still receive 3 points.

Formula for the above

To apply a formula for that:

The game works in the following way:

Once someone has "won" they should pm me, @killerbee15432 and this tally will be updated. By default both will start on 1:

**Beat The Staff - The Second Greatest Forum Game****The Goal**The goal is for the members to get to

**5**, and the staff to get to**-5**. Members can only submit a number after someone else goes after them. For example:

NethaHunter: 299

killerbee15432: 300

killerbee15432: 298

Let x = totalscore divided by 5:

*Total points = (x^2 + x) divided by 2*

Example (Members have reached 20 points and staff have not reset)Example (Members have reached 20 points and staff have not reset)

**x = 20 divided by 5 = 4. Total points = (4^2 + 4) divided by 2 = (16 + 4) divided by 2 = 10**

Formula for the above

To apply a formula for that:

*Total wins (resetting) = [(totalscore rounded up to a multiple of 5) divided by 5] x points (points of the team that you had reset, so if you reset staff, you times by their points)*

Example (Members have just reached 11 and staff have reset)Example (Members have just reached 11 and staff have reset)

**-**Total wins (resetting) = [(11 rounded up to a multiple of 5) divided by 5] x 1 = ([15] divided 5) x 1 = ([3] x 1) = 3**To signify you have "finished" and want to collect your "wins", say Terminated on the reply.****TL;DR**The game works in the following way:

- The goal is for the members to get to 5, and the staff to get to -5. Members can only submit a number after someone else goes after them.
- Once they have "won" they will achieve a point, and these points will continuously be tallied until this post is locked
- Any time a staff comments the score gets reset to 0. So if the members were at 4, a staff member could say 0 and their score gets reset and in turn, the players will have to start over. This also applies for staff,
- Every additional 5 increments will result in additional points - but if this is reset, the opposing side will receive additional points. Formulae for these points are above
*To signify you have "finished" and want to collect your points, say Terminated on the reply.*

**Leaderboards**Once someone has "won" they should pm me, @killerbee15432 and this tally will be updated. By default both will start on 1:
